SELECTION

Applications are reviewed by the faculty supervisor and current members. Select applicants will be invited to a first-round interview, which is conducted on the phone by a panel of between two to six people composed of current members.

Successful candidates will be invited to an in-person final round interview, where they will present a one-page written stock pick analysis to the selection committee at the start of the interview. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their analysis following their presentation.

Final selection is decided upon by the Board of Trustees who consider the following factors:

  • Cumulative GPA

  • Prior grades in ACCT, MATH, STAT, CPSC, ECON, and FNCE courses

  • Past work experience

  • Performance in the interview

  • Ability to commit time to the program

Due to the limited number of spots in the program, some highly skilled and capable applicants may not be offered a position. The CPMT program considers each application carefully and appreciates the time and effort each applicant puts into their application.
