APPLICATION

Applications for the Class of 2022 will be closing February 10, 2020 at midnight.

For future applications, a great early step is to study the CFA Investment Foundations which are a nice set of free (with free login) materials on the CFA website.

Applications must include:

  • Completed application form

  • One-page “Wall Street” style résumé

  • One-page letter of intent outlining why you would like to join the CPMT program, and what skills and talents you can contribute

  • Unofficial transcript

Applications are open to all students regardless of concentration.

RESOURCES

SELECTION

Applications are reviewed by the faculty supervisor. Select applicants will be invited to an interview.

Interviews are conducted by a panel of between two to six people, composed of CPMT Selection Committee and current members. Interviewees will present a one-page written stock pick analysis to the selection committee at the start of the interview, and should be prepared to discuss their analysis following their presentation.

Final selection is decided upon by the Board of Trustees who consider the following factors:

  • Cumulative GPA

  • Prior grades in ACCT, MATH, STAT, CPSC, ECON, and FNCE courses

  • Past work experience

  • Performance in the interview

  • Ability to commit time to the program

Due to the limited number of spots in the program, some highly skilled and capable applicants may not be offered a position. The CPMT program considers each application carefully and appreciates the time and effort each applicant puts into their application.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I am a co-operative education student, can I apply?

While we have seen some co-op students excel in the program, others have struggled with the time commitments of the program. Candidates will be considered on a case by case basis.
